Fine Tune is now available to adjust colouring and effect levels in Art Filter for even more versatile photographic expressions. Controls are easy. Simply move the slider on the monitor up or down to make photos look exactly the way you want.

New, easy to use control screen

The screen button layout and sizes have been improved to make it easier to select Art Filter options and effects with touch operations.

3. Fine Tune and exposure compensation sliders moved to the right. The control dial at the top can also be rotated to move the slider.

Advanced Photo mode makes difficult photo expressions easy

Advanced Photo mode is equipped with 9 modes that make difficult shooting techniques easy, such as capturing star trails beautifully with Live Composite (Lighten), and compositing multiple shots for a single dreamlike photo in Multi Exposure.

Panorama: Moving the camera horizontally/vertically while shooting creates a wide/tall panoramic shot. Guide lines are displayed, showing the right direction to move the camera, making it easy to capture more natural panorama shots.
  • Live Composite: Capture beautiful light trails of stars in the sky or car lights. This feature lets you check the process of light trails as they are recorded.
  • Live Time: Captures faint light sources in dark locations. Light trails can also be captured. You can confirm your image as it is being recorded.
  • Multi Exposure: Overlapping two shots creates a dreamlike atmosphere in photos.
  • HDR: Capture photos with minimal overexposure, such as when blue skies appear white, and underexposure, such as when shadows appear pitch black.
  • Silent: Turns off the shutter sound, autofocus sound (electronic sounds), AF assist illuminator, flash and light from the camera. This mode is useful for situations where sound is inappropriate.
  • Keystone Compensation: Effects can be confirmed on the rear monitor prior to shooting.
  • AE Bracketing: Captures multiple photos of differing brightness so you can select your favourite.
  • Focus Bracketing: When focusing is difficult, this mode shifts the focal position and captures multiple shots. You can see which photos have the best focus point after shooting.

How to shoot in Live Composite

  • Attach the camera to a tripod and press the shutter button to begin shooting.
  • While checking how the image changes on the monitor, press the shutter button again to end shooting when the light trails look right.

How to shoot in Multiple Exposure

  • Press the shutter button fully to capture the first image. When you start shooting, the Multi. Exposure icon appears in green.
  • The first recorded image is shown in a semi-transparent display. Check the composite position and capture the second shot.

Silent shooting is possible in P, A, S, M, and ART modes

Silent shooting is now possible in P, A, S, M, and ART modes in addition to AP mode. This makes it possible to shoot in situations where you don't want to make noise, such as concerts, musical recitals, and capturing shots of sleeping children and pets.
