The magnesium solid body built with Dustproof / Splashproof / -10℃ Freezeproof, which is highly regarded by professional photographers, enables shooting in any climate or condition. Splashproof performance is JIS/IEC protection class 1 (IPX1).
The combination with dustproof / splashproof M.Zuiko PRO lenses, the E-M1 Mark III allows photographers to concentrate while shooting in harsh environments including rain and dust-filled locations.
The E-M1 Mark III is compatible with USB charging[1], it enables USB charging from power bank even while moving to the next shooting location. It is compatible with the USB PD standard[2][3] for a maximum power supply of 100W, the battery can be fully charged in as little as two hours. Power delivery from a power bank enables longer duration shooting outside without power source or in extremely cold environments.
The E-M1 Mark III equips the Supersonic Wave Filter (SSWF) which vibrates at a super high speed over 30,000 times per second, to instantly remove dirt and dust which go into the body when swapping lenses and stay on the surface of the image sensor. Olympus pioneered the Dust Reduction System and has a long track record of reliability, and it has a coating introduced with OM-D E-M1X, reducing the possibility of dust in photos much more than before.
The E-M1 Mark III is equipped with a high durability shutter unit rated for 400,000 operations[*], it meets the requirement of professional photographers who shoot high numbers of images in harsh environments.
Allows for adjusting the brightness of the Live View (LV) display to suit the location, it makes easier to view subjects in dark scenes and the framing becomes easier. LV Display Speed Priority in LV Boost [On2] makes even easier to view subjects in dark scenes such as at night when photographing stars. Switching on and off LV Boost can be assigned on Functional buttons with E-M1 Mark III, LV Boost setting can be changed by turning the dial while pressing the button.
Four Custom modes which can be customised depending on the shooting objects, and a new control panel mode to check the essential camera settings at a glance are available.
