4K Movie Compatibility
The TG-5 features significant improvements in video recording. It is compatible with 4K Movie which provides the ability to capture a greater level of detail in your videos. High-speed Movie is also supported, providing 120-fps recording capability at Full HD resolution.
4K Movie
The new image sensor and TruePic VIII image processor deliver fast reading capabilities for 4K Movie recording. This makes it possible to record beautiful video in high-resolution 4K quality.
- UHS-1 speed class 3 SD card has to be used to be for 4K movie.
High-Speed Movie
High-Speed Movie captures fast action that can be played back in slow motion. On the TG-5, High-speed Movie provides 120-fps recording capability at Full HD resolution. High-speed recording is possible up to 240 fps for High Definition resolution and up to 480 fps for VGA.
- Recording time is limited.
- UHS-1 speed class 3 SD card has to be used to be for Hi-speed movie.
Time Lapse Movie
The Interval Shooting function is included for fixed-point observation shooting over time. This can be used to record the movement of clouds and stars. Simply set the number of shots (max. 299) and interval (1 sec. to 24 hr.) and the camera will shoot successive images. After shooting, a Time Lapse Movie[*] is automatically generated. With this function, you can enjoy successive shots as a unique video.
- The maximum recording size is 4K 5ps, Full HD 15 fps, and HD 30fps.
